FALL 2021 EXECUTIVE BOARD

President
Ryan Khojasteh
Ryan is an Accounting major currently in his 5th year, pursuing his master's degree through the BMACC program. Ryan also is a transfer student from both Miramar and Mesa community college.

ALPFA has helped Ryan make connections and build friendships with the people who are pursuing the same goal as him. The small group setting for each meeting allowed him to easily network with different firms and employers and ask questions and build connections for potential internship opportunities.

Executive Vice President
Victoria Vela
Victoria Vela has been a student at San Diego State University since her freshman year. She completed her B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting in Spring 2021 and plans to begin the BMACC program in Fall 2021 to earn a Masters degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Accounting Information Systems.

Once Victoria graduates in Spring 2022, she intends to stay in San Diego to work full-time in the audit department at Redwitz, Inc. and begin preparing for the CPA exam. She attributes her knowledge and professional development to her involvement as a member of Student Accounting Society (SAS) and as a member and the Spring 2021 membership officer of ALPFA.

VP of Professional Relations
Jazmin Cruz
Jazmin Cruz is a fifth year student majoring in Business Administration, Accounting with a minor in Psychology and is looking forward to applying for the BMACC program. She plans to obtain her Master’s degree in Accounting with an emphasis in AIS once she joins BMACC. Her hobbies include going on runs, going to the beach, enjoying time with friends and family, exploring beautiful places in San Diego and grabbing coffee at her favorite coffee shops!
Jazmin joined ALPFA in Fall 2020 and despite being completely virtual, she felt the organization did an exceptional job at being so welcoming and informing students of many great opportunities. She immediately felt a need to be more than just a member and decided to become the Finance officer in the Spring 2021 semester. As the VP of Professional Relations, some of the tasks she will take on include connecting with firms and other resources at SDSU.

VP of Marketing
Domenika Rodriguez
Domenika Rodriguez has been a student at San Diego State University since her freshman year. She is currently a junior completing her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting.

Once Domenika graduates, she intends to work in the advisory service line. She recently joined ALPFA in Spring 2021. She chose to join ALPFA as a member due to the numerous opportunities it offers and wanted to connect with a community that has similar goals as her. Sofia Garcia is a third year student at San Diego State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Accounting.
Sofia hopes to continue learning more about the different service lines in the accounting field, but as of now she intends to work in the audit service line. She became a member of ALPFA during spring semester 2021 in hopes of being able to connect with individuals who have similar values and seek similar goals as hers. Sofia’s decision in becoming the VP of Membership for ALPFA was because she wanted to gain a new beneficial and professional experience by helping others join the organization.

After finishing her degree, Kathleen hopes to enter either the advisory or audit service line and is eager to discover whatever the industry has to offer! She officially joined ALPFA this Fall but has known about the organization since Spring 2021, after attending an outreach event geared towards community college students. She enjoyed getting to know some of the officers then and knew she wanted to be a part of such a supportive and encouraging community.
